Lo-Density® FPH Series Fuel Oil Preheaters
PHCo’s Lo-Density® FPH Series Fuel Oil Preheater is the solution for better efficiency when using heavier or reclaimed fuel oils. Through years of research, we have developed a system to increase atomization, ensure smoother flow, allow more accurate temperature control, and improve combustion.
PHCo Fuel Oil Preheaters are ideal for steam boilers, aggregate dryers, or other large burner operations. These preheaters are available in a wide variety of sizes to pinpoint exact requirements and accommodate burners in any climate. All PHCo preheaters include a prewired, UL-listed industrial control panel, housed in a weatherproof enclosure. The key components include main disconnect, contactors, individual load fusing, control circuit transformer with fusing, indicating solid-state temperature controller, solid-state high limit, and all the necessary wiring for automatic operation. Our system can be powered by any industrial voltage to efficiently heat at a rate of 5-7 watts per square inch, reducing the possibility of coking on the tubes.
Custom-packaged fuel forwarding skids are available, and our design allows for total accessibility to the heater terminal box. By removing the cover, the heater element assembly can easily be removed without draining the heater or removing the oil piping. There is a double flange behind the heater terminal box to which the heater tubes are welded so that the entire internal assembly can be removed for cleaning.
